The Swiftsure International Yacht Race is put on annually by the Royal Victoria Yacht Club (RVYC) in Victoria BC. The 2010 yacht race was especially poignant because it followed the Vancouver 2010 Olympics – continuing to reflect the BC spirit to local and international spectators and participants was very important.
I was very honored to have the opportunity to develop marketing materials and a social media strategy for the event. In addition to event day uses and local marketing, Swiftsure International Yacht Race adds are included in several international boating magazines like Pacific Yachting Magazine and 48° North Sailing Magazine, putting BC and Victoria on the map as a world class sailing destination.
